Pittsburgh Steelers claimed their third straight win on Monday night after a 26-18 win against New York Giants in NFL through two touchdowns from Calvin Austin III .
In the third quarter the 25-year old wide receiver achieved the team’s initial punt return touchdown since December of 2006, BBC Sport reported by News.Az.
The win was sealed with a play in the fourth quarter from Russell Wilson to Austin by the ‘moon ball.’
“I try to give the guys a chance,” Wilson said.
They always make sure I am looking okay, half decent, and they have ere fantastic plays.
“I’ve been definitely tossing it up to the moon for a long time, and let it come down and let them try to pull off a superman.”
The match ended a barren draw at 12-12, and at half-time, the score was 9-9 but the Steelers took the final quarter 16-9.
Run by rookie running back Tyrone Tracy Jr put the Giants back into the game on a 45-yard scoring run and with limited time left Steelers cornerback Beanie Bishop Jr put the nail in the Giants coffin with an end zone interception.
The win moves Steelers to the summit of the AFC North log, and the Giants sit bottom of the NFC East log.
