Colorado Buffaloes and Deion Sanders are once again the talk of college football today. The Buffs are still vying for the Big 12 championship, but there’s still a lot of chatter about Coach Prime in the latest college football notes.
Crimson Tide and Aggies were criticized by ESPN’s Stephen A for passing on hiring Sanders during the 2024 offseason. Colorado has won quite a few games this season on the football field and with Sanders, other football playing colleges will certainly show more attention next season.
Could CO decline to have Coach Prime beyond the 2024 football season? On3.com’s Phillip Dukes made a stop at Boulder recently and share with us moments thoughts of senator Sanders in Colorado as the rumors brewed that the star coach could start looking around.
“If you Deion Sanders why would you leave Colorado?” Dukes noted on Oct. 29. “You in the Big 12, right. You are within this conference and it’s more equal and you can become this force, because no team within this conference can bring that national brand like Colorado does. And nobody in that conference can offer exposure that Colorado can. Why would you leave?
“… Therefore, I do not believe he will leave and when you look at how Colorado is positioned they have it all. They got the facilities, bro. Like I told you they got the NIL [money].
Dukes thinks that Sanders will remain at Colorado, while other college football programs will still work to lure Coach Prime away from Boulder.
