The best in the business, WWE Undisputed Champion Cody Rhodes, via Social Media has named Conor McGregor as part of his UFC Mount Rushmore.
The 39-year-old also listed Ronda Rousey , MMA fighter Chuck Liddell as his top four pick for the greatest UFC fighters of all time along with Jon Jones.
Rhodes admits that he does not follow a lot of the fights in Dana White’s promotion, but his Liddell choice is an MMA fan selection.
Dana White rostered ‘The Iceman’ Liddell pretty early on into his association with the UFC as a commentator having been signed to the organization at UFC 17 in May 1998.
He went on to compile a 12-year UFC record of 18-8 in the 26 fights he had with the organisation that he was instrumental in solidifying and grooming a new fan base to the sport.
The criteria for the WWE Champion’s Mount Rushmore were those who have served to generate the most views for the UFC, meaning it comes as no shock to see McGregor and Rousey on this list.
Rousey, for her part, has also had her fair share of victory in WWE so there may have been some element of bias when picking the former UFC Bantamweight champion.
“We’re going to go with Conor [McGregor], we’re going to go with Ronda [Rousey],” Rhodes told MMA journalist The Schmo.
And then there’s those two and then I got to go all the way back to the early days of the Zuffa/UFCAffiliation with all that Dana did, and I can’t take Chuck or Tito, I can only take one.
“I’m going to pick Chuck…And I was loyal, I said Tom [Aspinall] would take the fight but I’m going to go with Jon Jones actually as well.
“That’s my Mount Rushmore.”
‘The American Nightmare’ Eddie Kingston has been one of WWE’s most prominent talents since his return to the organisation in 2022.
Rhodes was with the company from 2006 to 2016 before he demanded to be let go through a Tweet in May of the same year.
He accused WWE’s creative department and his position on the company of contributing to his decision to request for his release.
Rhodes debuted in TNA, NJPW and AEW before moving back to WWE and undeniably pinning down Seth Rollins in the WrestleMania 38 apex in April 2022 to utter the title of WWE Champion.
Rhodes was also spotted taking McGregor’s Proper 12 whisky at the end of his interview with The Schmo.
They joined wrestler John Cena in arguing that ‘The Notorious’ would be a perfect fit for Triple H’s list of wrestlers.
McGregor, through his social media accounts on Tuesday, toyed with his fans with regards to a possible entry into the billion-pound professional wrestling organisation.

McGregor also has not been seen in the Octagon since he was rendered in a fold by a nasty ankle injury during the fight against Poirier in the trilogy match at UFC 264 on July 10.
This has recently extended into bare knuckle fighting – he is a minority owner in BKFC – so you wouldn’t be shocked to find the ex-UFC two-division champion in the ring.
