High school football playoff match-ups snap into place

High school football playoffs kick-off today in Simcoe County with one game being played in Barrie.

In light of this, afllen the six week regular-season of play Local high schools have come aware their quarter final foes.

In the Simcoe County Athletic Association (SCAA), the Maple Ridge Ravens (4-2) will host the Eastview Wildcats (2-4) today in a 12:Friday at 30 p.m at the south-end school starting the exams. This stretch was the first time the two teams did not encounter each other during the regular season.

Collingwood fighting owls vs Nantyr shors tritons 1PM this afternoon, both with three wins and three defeats. The Collingwood team defeated Nantyr 14-0 on the 9th of October.

On Wednesday, the undefeated Barrie North Vikings (6-0) will play the winless Banting Marauders (0-6) beginning at 11:30 a.m. The Vikings shut out the Marauders with a 48-0 victory on Oct. 4 in a regular-season showdown.

Wednesday’s playoff games feature Innisdale Invaders (1-5) traveling to face the Bear Creek Kodiaks (5-1). That game starts at noon.

Annual SCAA Semifinals are scheduled for Monday, Nov. 4 and this followed by the Main/Championship Final on Friday, Nov. 8 at Maple ridge secondary school on Prince William Way.

At the Catholic School Athletics of Simcoe County (CSASC) level, there will be two semi final games on Friday at J.C. Massie Field of Georgian College.

The top-seeded St. Joan of Arc Knights (5-1) will play the Patrick Fogarty Flames (2-4) at 12:at 3pm, with St. Theresa’s Thunder(2-4) and St. Joseph’s Jaguars (5-1). The St. Peter’s Panthers only won one match in five games and therefore did not get to the playoffs belonging to the CSASC senior loop.

The CSASC senior final will be held Nov. 8 at J.C. Massie Field beginning at 6:30 p.m.

Senior champions SCAA & CSASC will clash for the championship of Georgian Bay Secondary School Association on Thursday, November 14.

At the SCAA’s junior level, Collingwood (6-0) hosts Nantyr Shores (0-6) today at 2 p.m., while the Orillia Nighthawks (2-4) will be at Maple Ridge for a 2:Performance of 30 p.m. start against Ravens (3-2-1).

On Wednesday, Bear Creek’s juniors (6-0) host Barrie North (1-5) at 2 p.m., and Innisdale (2-4) will be at Eastview (4-2) for a 2:30 p.m. game.

The SCAA junior semifinals will be on Nov. 4 at Maple Ridge while the final match will be on Nov 8 at Maple Ridge.

At the CSASC’s junior level, St. Theresa’s (0-6) will face St. Peter’s (6-0) at J.C. Massie Field beginning at 12:At 4:30 p.m on Wednesday the games will be played as follows: – Valley Lutheran (3-3) facing Patrick Fogarty and St. Joan of Arc (3-3) at 3 p.m.

The junior GBSSA championship game is scheduled for Thursday November 14 at Maple Ridge.
