Ricky Hatton clarifies comments on Anthony Joshua

There were quite a few people insides fighting atrocity demanding that Anthony Joshua hang up the gloves after his crushing defeat to Daniel Dubois. Not least of these Britain had ‘The Hitman’ Ricky Hatton.

Well now that some time has passed since the fight Hatton has come out and explained what he was trying to say.

Ricky Hatton is undoubtedly one of Britain’s more talented fighters and he provided his fans with some of the biggest moments in their lifetime.

The biggest night of his career was in 2005 when he claimed the IBO world super lightweight title against Kostya Tszyu in Manchester.

He also fought with two of the greatest boxers in the history of boxing, Manny Pacquiao, and Floyd Mayweather.

He boasts a record of 45-3 and retired in 2012 after being knocked out by Vyacheslav Senchenko.

Campbell Montgomery has also gone the same way as his father, but since the man has endured successive defeats it appears he shall not emulate his dad’s accomplishments.

Ricky Hatton after the loss has taken to IFL TV to explain his words after watching Joshua’s defeat.

It came when Abraham called for an immediate rematch following his knockdown defeat by the Division champion, saying: “I believe I speak for the whole nation, I’ve got a lot of love for Anthony Joshua.”

”The thing is about boxing is, you don’t like seeing your mates get knocked out.”

”I actually think that man has no more something to demonstrate.”

Hatton also notes that ’AJ’ has nothing else left to prove in the sport, but whether he continues to fight or not, should be entirely of his decision.

Then he went on to speculate who he would like to see Joshua fight if indeed he continues.

”But if he wants to carry on, who wouldn’t want to see him fight Tyson Fury.”

Hatton also recommended wanting to fight the other that if he was the dubbed boxer name Daniel Dubois he could be annoyed thinking of another installment Partridge to fight him and instead he has to keep thinking of other suitable options.

”Daniel Dubois should be allowed to take his rematch bout with Usyk or the money fight against Tyson”

This week we learnt that the rematch may not even take place next as Anthony Joshua will not be ready to fight by February 22nd.

But there has been plenty of speculation about those who might take Dubois’ place in the ring, one of whom is called Zhilei Zhang.
