I am angered that we are surrendering a man who interferred with boxing a platform to perform in Texas next Friday.
I do not have any problems with Jake Paul himself actually. He trains with Martin Caprio in LA, and that is good for him however; fighting a 58-year-old ‘greedy’ man who still needs money does not help boxing.
First of all, as an ex fighter knowing your legacy is crucial. One thing Tyson doesn’t care is if he embarrasses himself but I do care. He can do what he wants, of course, but that does not mean he will have my support on that matter.
He was one of the most furious gladiators of all the time, one of the greatest of all time at his best. In that sense he is a symbol of boxing. So he with a single foul image does not only smeared himself but the sport.
If it were not for confusion… had could have reigned for a long time… In other occasion he just lack energy and enthusiasm to play the game that he loves most. Tyson said that if the Tyson, who claimed the title at the age of 20, fought with the challengers, he would have beaten anyone. He really wanted it then, left nothing in the gym. That Tyson was completed in two years. The Buster Douglas defeat marked the beginning of all the changes.
This has a basic appeal and that is why so many people are turning in to watch boxing. It’s gladiatorial. A heavyweight punch is like being hit with a three-ton truck traveling at 30miles per hour. But this is not real in the sporting sense. Bear in mind, it is a show like the freak show popular in the nineteenth century. And not for me.
For genuine boxing, one must look at the prelims, and for that one has Katie Taylor vrs Amanda Serrano. Taylor became the choice when they first squared it out at lightweight two and a half years ago, and even though this is at super lightweight , I believe she will again.
He is Taylor and he is a stylist, a combination puncher with a great chin. Serrano is the harder hitter but that power is not present at 140 pounds.
Despite 38 I believe that Taylor has to be near the end of her career, but women don’t seem to age as much as the men in this sport so she may well be easily able to carry on going until 40. Note that she does not have the attitude of a woman once she had her early years as a beginner. Good style, moves inside punching distance, delivers those lightening combinations and backs out.
It was especially inviting throughout her glorious amateur experience, and it does not seem out of place in the pro level. She was only defeated by Chantelle Cameron, who is tough and has a punch.
Taylor was arrested by Cameron’s power in the first encounter and смешоunanimously worked Cameron out in the second bout to avenge her lone defeat. I would gladly pay money to see her in Texas but not the cowboy headlining the show over old man Tyson.
