No. 16-ranked Oklahoma football will continue SEC play with a Red River Rivalry game against No. 1 Texas at 2:30 p.m. Saturday in Dallas.
The Eagles come into the game after having a week off before this weekend’s game due to a bye week. OU (4-1, 1-1 SEC) beat Auburn 27-21 on the road in the Week 5 match while Texas (5-0, 1-0 SEC) trounced Mississippi State 35-13 in the home ground match. The Oddsmakers at BetMGM Sportsbook have the Longhorns as 14.5-point favorites against the Sooners.

Oklahoma football against Texas score prognosis
The Oklahoman: Texas 31, Oklahoma 17
Justin Martinez writes: Another interesting variable is that both the teams possess remarkable defense while Texas possesses a way better offense than OU. It does not matter whether the quarterback is Quinn Ewers or Arch Manning: the Longhorns have learned how to score the ball on average 45 points per game. And while OU seems to have found its quarterback in Michael Hawkins Jr., injuries at wide receiver and a non-existent run game will put the brakes on it in terms of points scored.
College Football Network: Texas 27, Oklahoma 17
Will Helms writes: Being a team that does anything possible to make a game hard, the Sooners will ensure this game is ugly. They’ll use softer coverage to reduce the tempo, they’ll target the running from the running backs and the new starting quarterback Michael Hawkins Jr, who may be a mobile threat. Then again, this game likes to flourish in it. Considering that, however, I believe that Texas comes out on top. But it won’t be pretty and it won’t cover.”
Picks and Parlays: Texas 38, Oklahoma 17
Jake Allmann writes: It is quite clear that the Texas Longhorns are the more rounded side between the two. Offensive balance and defensive strength at least give them that edge over what has been an all-around poor season from Oklahoma. The Longhorns should be expected to dictate the pace of the game right from start to end and come out of the match with an unbeaten team.
